Afforestation Campaign
It is a pleasure for LSR to take part in the Reforestation campaign organized by the “Human Environmental Association for Development” (HEAD), in collaboration with the Ministry of Tourism and local non-governmental entities.
The opening ceremony was held on Saturday, 26 March 2022 at Ghalbon Municipal Centre - Public Hall, in the presence of UNEP’s representative and Regional Director for West Asia, Mr. Sami Dimassi and the Ministers of Tourism, Environment and Agriculture, Engineer Walid Nassar, Dr. Nasser Yassin and Mr. Abbas El Hajj Hassan. The event was also attended by the Local Civil Affairs representative of Jbeil Ms. Nathaly Merhi, the Mayor of Ghalbon Engineer Elie Gabrael, and the Local policy commanders of the villages and towns participating in this initiative.
